To begin the process of commissioning a portrait by Carolyne D. Landon, please email landonstudsios.portraits@gmail.com.

I am an interdisciplinary artist and writer, and work in various traditional and digital media. People, nature, science, ancient history, myth, and religions of the world inspire my creative explorations.

Currently, I am living in South Dakota where I am working on a painting series, "Seven Generations: The Mending of the Hoop." This series includes portraits of the seven generations of Sitanka (Spotted Elk, Big Foot) and his grandson, James Pipe On Head (c. 1880), who survived the 1890 Wounded Knee Massacre.
